As my son moved from
"As my son moved from Bantam (M15/U15) to Midget (M18/D18), his Bauer Intermediate Knee pads that he was using since 11 years old (he's 15 going on 16) "wore" out (the velcro and integrity were still functional). At the "senior" level the intermediate knee pads were no longer offering the protection when dropping down into the butterfly. His inside of his knees were taking a pounding as he was breaking in his L87 True Pads. These Senior knee guards offers him the inside knee protection when he drops down quickly, and he no longer suffers from bruising to the inside knee. They also offer superior protection given that he has outgrown the intermediate knee pads. The "sleaving" effect of the knee guards hold in place, that even if the velcro straps are undone, they do not move on his knees. These are definitely on the premium side and the only negative point (-1 one star) is that they are much more expensive than products from "Warrior", "CCM", etc. ."
